Manage your applications
NetX utilizes your Steelheads to collect data on all application traffic in your network. Then the advanced analysis and reporting capabilities within NetX enable you to see how efficiently your WAN is delivering your business applications. NetX shows you where bottlenecks are occurring and in which areas optimization is needed. What’s more, NetX not only collects application and site data from your Steelheads, it transforms this data into actionable information about your applications and processes, making it easy for you to optimally align your company’s goals with your IT infrastructure.
Using the flexible NetX portal, you can monitor and analyze the data you need in the way that best suits you. You can take a very business-oriented approach, or you can use the analysis tools to take a network or application point of view. Since NetX is role based, it’s easy to assign analysis features to individual users that match their function and responsibility.
NetX stores all the information that is collected from your Steelheads in a central database. This gives you complete and consolidated analysis and reporting capabilities over all the Steelheads in your WAN, so you can easily manage every site where a Steelhead is installed.
Control your service levels
NetX includes a flexible system for defining and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Each SLA consists of one or more Service Level Objectives (SLOs) which specify threshold values for specific service levels that must be met. Information for managing your SLAs is collected from the NetX RSP Probe that is installed on the Steelheads in your WAN and when Service Level Objectives are not achieved, you can use NetX’s analysis system to optimize your Steelheads and ensure the required service levels are met.
Because NetX focuses on business processes and applications, in addition to network traffic, our service level management system can be used to define and manage business goals, as well as application and network service levels.
Optimization information
NetX analyzes how effectively your applications are optimized, so you can see if you’re obtaining the data reduction you need, or expected, and whether there are applications requiring extra attention. Using NetX’s optimization overviews, you can see how much data reduction is realized per application, you get a list of applications with the best and worst data reduction, and more. NetX helps you optimize the Steelhead environment so that you’re continuously optimizing and accelerating the business applications in your WAN.
Furthermore, even though the Steelheads drastically reduce the data that crosses your WAN, you still may have bandwidth issue. NetX helps you with the analysis of bandwidth usage over your WAN, to ensure you always get the best performance of your applications with the most cost effective infrastructure!
Extensive reporting
Using our flexible reporting engine, you can incorporate the analysis information you’ve obtained from NetX into any report. Whether you need daily reports on the status of your business service levels or monthly trend analysis of application usage, you can generate any report you need. You can also manually edit reports, so you can easily add extra information to any generated report.
Best of all, NetX collects information from all the Steelheads in your network without having to install additional hardware appliances into the network. NetX aggregates this information and stores it in a central repository, so you can get a complete overview of all sites and applications in your WAN and analyze peer to peer traffic between sites for all applications.
